This week i have done the hyper-v exam and passed with a score of 935. the exam focused highly on snapshots, clustering, virtual network. but there are also some scvmm2008 questions and some real very easy and simple basic questions.

I first read the hyper-v unleashed book. This book has also focus on scvmm 2008. This book isn’t really a exam preparation book. If you read this book and have done some things with hyper-v you should pass for the exam. you will get 47 questions and need a score of 700.

The questions in each category went into when you would use different kinds of snap shots, virtual networks, virtual disks, and clusters.
In your studies be sure to know the following things in Hyper-V fairly well and you should be okay:
1.) Snapshots (How to create them, restore them, and the rules)
2.) Virtual disk (Dynamic, Fixed, Pass Thru, and differencing disks with parent / child disks)
3.) Clusters (How to set one up and how it ties into High Availability)
4.) Virtual Networks (External, Internal, Private and what each one provides to the VM)
5.) SCVMM 2008 how to migrate VMS from one server to another with SCVMM.

In my opinion the exam is way too easy, especially if you have already VMware experience. there are no hard questions but simple questions and some irritating questions on what is on this tab in the scvmm2008 manager.

This was my experience, hope this helps for someone preparing for the exam.
